Pavel Lukoyanov

Pavel Lukoyanov studied at Gnesins Academy of Music training as a specialist on Russia’s oldest multi-string plucked instrument, the gusli. The winner of many international contests, a premiere-performer and composer, Pavel’s solo repertoire spans ancient bylinas, contemporary avant-garde, classical and jazz. He has performed at major festivals including Moscow Easter Festival (Russia), Moscow International Сhamber Music Festival (Russia), XI International Festival of Music Kokle (Latvia) and International Folk Festival (Lithuania). As a touring musician his ensemble work has brought him to premiere audiences across Europe and Asia. He is currently a teaching professor at Sergey Prokofiev’s Moscow Area Music College.
